Kerri Behel – Director of Early Childhood – Birth through Third Grade

Kerri joined the College Church Youth Ministry team in August of 2010 as the Director of Early Childhood.  Kerri is originally from Memphis, Tennessee, came to Harding University in 1997 and became a member at the College Church of Christ.  She graduated with her Bachelor’s of Business Administration in 2000, and was married in May of the same year to Alex Behel, lifelong Searcy resident.  Alex is a loan officer and financial advisor at a local Arkansas bank.  They have three children:  Annie, eight, Houston, six, and Kennedie, three.  Kerri feels blessed to work with all of our precious young children; molding their lives towards Jesus Christ,  as well as working with an amazing ministry team here at the College Church of Christ.

Programs:

Nursery

College church provides an attended nursery service for children birth to age 35 months during our first and second service of worship in rooms 126 and 127.  There are also training rooms available at the rear of the auditorium (one on the east side and one on the west side) where parents may take their babies if they wish to remain with them during services. 

Mother’s Room

Inside the nursery room 126, a nursing mother’s area has been provided for privacy with rockers, a changing table and cribs.  There is also a crib room located to the right of the nursery area.

Children’s Worship Training

Children’s Worship Training is dismissed after the Lord’s Supper during the 8:15 (or combined 9:00) service for children ages three through first grade.  It is a time of age-appropriate worship including singing, prayer and a short devotional.  Children are taken to their Bible classes by CWT volunteers immediately following Children’s Worship.

Children’s Bible Hour

Children’s Bible Hour is offered during our Sunday evening 5:00 service for children ages three through first grade.  It is an age-appropriate time of worship led by our teenagers (7^th-12^th grade) with songs, prayer, Bible lesson with activity and puppet show.

Cradle Roll

Our children’s Bible classes start at four months of age in our Cradle Roll hallway.   Classes are offered for ages 4-35 months during the Bible class hour on Sunday morning and during the evening services at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Children’s Bible classes are available for ages four months through college.  Children remain in the same class until promotion Sunday which is the first weekend in August.

Zach Neal - Youth & Family Minister – 4th– 6th Grades

Zach Neal is the 4th - 6th grade minister at College Church of Christ.  Zach is originally from North Little Rock, Arkansas and came to Harding University in 1997.  He graduated with a B.A. in Bible and Religion and an M.A. in Teaching.  After serving as an Associate Minister near Toledo, Ohio for 3 1/2 years he returned to Searcy to work as an Assistant Dean of Students at Harding University.  Sara Jo, his bride of ten years, is from Ohio and a graduate of Harding University.  They have three children:  Carter, eight, Adalynn, five, and Alivia, two. 

Programs:

Bible Classes for every student on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings that are age appropriate. 

Body Builders is designed for girls and boys in the 2^nd – 6^th grades.  This is an opportunity for our youngsters beginning the hour worship with an age specific interest as well as gaining leadership experience.  Students will gain insight on various topics from guest speakers.  The children will meet at 5:00pm in the Teen Center.  BodyBuilders will meet the first Sunday night of every month.
